The Global Health Network (GHN) is an Internet-based, self-organizing network that connects hospitals, clinics and urgent care centers. The entire operation of the GHN is secure and fully HIPAA compliant.

GHN identifies potential trial subjects by screening the patient's medical and demographic information that is available according to the industry standard HL-7 industry standard communications protocol against the requirements for currently active clinical trials. GHN then notifies Clinical Trial Managers and Principal Investigators in real time that patients meeting their unique criteria are available for enrolling.

Once a Principal Investigator or Trial Manager requests that a patient be approached for enrollment, the GHN provides the treating physician with the appropriate enrollment documentation and suitable information about the trial so that the patient can be given an opportunity to enroll in a particular trial.

The GHN also enables a temporary direct communications link between the treating physician and the Principal Investigator or Trial Manager.
