KDH's PatientLocate solution is based on our revolutionary Global Health Network technology. providing clinical researchers with improved productivity, providing the competitive advantage of earlier trial decisions and increased time in market that they are looking for.

INTRODUCING PATIENT LOCATE (SM)

The Global Health Network is an Internet-based, self-organizing network that connects hospitals, clinics and urgent care centers.

GHN identifies potential trial subjects by screening the patient's medical and demographic information against the requirements for currently active clinical trials. GHN then notifies Clinical Trial Managers and Principal Investigators in real time that patients meeting their unique criteria are available for enrolling.

  1. Enables point-of-care identification of clinical research candidates by partnering with hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.

  2. Uses real-time data generated by providers’ IT operations to enable discussion of trial participation during the patient’s episode of care.

  3. Secure HIPAA compliant servers located in provider data centers, application service providers (ASPs), and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) provide local control of sensitive patient data. PHI (Protected Health Information, as defined by the HIPAA Privacy Rule) is never transmitted outside the data centers where GHN servers are located.

  4. Low cost, scalable implementation suitable for mass deployment for thousands of clinical trials and millions of patients.

  5. Requires no onsite customization.

The Global Health Network (GHN) is an Internet-based, self-organizing network that connects hospitals, clinics and urgent care centers. The entire operation of the GHN is secure and fully HIPAA compliant.

GHN identifies potential trial subjects by screening the patient's medical and demographic information that is available according to the industry standard HL-7 industry standard communications protocol against the requirements for currently active clinical trials. GHN then notifies Clinical Trial Managers and Principal Investigators in real time that patients meeting their unique criteria are available for enrolling.

Once a Principal Investigator or Trial Manager requests that a patient be approached for enrollment, the GHN provides the treating physician with the appropriate enrollment documentation and suitable information about the trial so that the patient can be given an opportunity to enroll in a particular trial.

The GHN also enables a temporary direct communications link between the treating physician and the Principal Investigator or Trial Manager.

Productivity gains using GHN for clinical trial recruitment

  1. More candidate patients quicker through the use of a broader array of recruiting sites and by ensuring that every patient at each site is fully screened against each clinical trial protocol

  2. More qualified candidate patients that meet complex trial protocols by incorporating lab and imaging results as part of the protocol matching process

  3. More candidate patients sooner by screening candidates and notifying Principal Investigators in many instances before treatment that may eliminate a potential candidate from meeting trial protocols has begun

  4. Delivery of candidate patients at significant cost savings over traditional methods involving direct contact based on the use of registries or advertising
